SESAME – Diamond Fellowship programme

Diamond light Source is the national synchrotron facility based in the United Kingdom, located in South Oxfordshire, UK. The facility has18 operational beamlines with number of Technical Divisions for engineering and accelerator training.

Diamond under an agreement with SESAME, is offering training fellowships in the following areas to applicants from SESAME Members (Bahrain, Cyprus, Egypt, Iran, Israel, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestinian Authority, Turkey):

• Research areas in science related to the Diamond beamlines

• Front-ends for Beamlines (Bending Magnet, Undulator, Wiggler)

• Instrumentation and Electronics

• Software and Computing specific to beamlines

• Vacuum and Control Systems

• High Power Radio Frequency.

Applicants wishing to be considered for these fellowships are to submit the following in English to fellowships@sesame.org.jo

In the subject field of the email you must put “Diamond-SESAME Fellowships”.

The closing date for the submission of applications is 15th May 2010.
