Thanks to your for getting free information on the development of technology and research in the Muslim world.
IDB has launched a web portal for researchers IDB / graduates. Needless to say that this networking will be an excellent tool for sharing knowledge and benefit to all because the IDB will be able to call all graduates of the IDB for a forum to ensure that networking between graduates IDB can be improved to further knowledge and sharing, particularly in science and technology and meet the new challenges of the Islamic Ummah. To do this, the formation of an Alumni of the IDB is highly necessary. You send the newsletter regularly Science and Development I found intéssant for my update, I take this opportunity to thank most sincerely for this gesture.

Dear Wagdy,
Thanks for your efforts. You really are doing a great job. Now that the network has become quite large and growing I have a suggestion: Let us put a short term objective (say, in 5 years from now we want to achieve something). I always wonder why the people with money think of building the highest tower on earth and do not think of developing the best software package for designing such towers. I can list hundreds of projects like this that will result in collaboration among the scientists of Ummah and build the know-how base.
We need very specific projects that will result not only in technology transfer but also in developing the know-how base.
Please think about it and if you have any connections that may be interested in supporting such ideas that would be the place to start making the network worthwhile.
Best regards

I am sure your efforts will make my dream come true. Infact muslims have been contribting a lot for running religious schools, Yateem trusts, and for overcomming famines etc. But now the need of hour is to contribute for developing scientific bent of mind by financing for advanced training programmes in the fields of molecular biology, biotechnology, industrial chemestry, ecology and environment etc. If SDN will enlighten 10-20 brains yearly, the days will not be far away when we will have a muslim scientist network (MSN) in the world.

Dear Dr. Sawahel
I take this opportunity to thank and felicitate you on your success of SDN by attracting over 20,000 scientists, technologists and science policy makers since its launch two years ago in 2005.
In my view this is a remarkable achievement by any standard. Moreover, I would like to appreciate your goal of promoting science, technology and innovation for sustainable development and your announcement of launching your new wesite with a new look which is exemplary.
The expansion of your service by setting up two new projects entitled "Making the science work for Islamic countries needs" and "Science and technology education observatory for sustainable development" will help scientists, technologists, and science policy makers in getting updated information for their planning and implementation.
I would love to add that your future important projects viz. Online-Scientific-Library, e-journal for science and technology and science & reduction would Insya##$$allah play a pivotal role in getting latest knowledge, sharpened mind and unshakeable confidence for scientists, technologists and science policy makers.
