UNESCO/Poland Fellowships

With a view to promoting human resource capacities in the least developed countries (LDCs) and to enhancing international understanding and friendship among nations and the people of Poland, the Polish National Commission for UNESCO and the AGH International Promotion Centre for Technology and Engineering Education (AGH IPCTEE) under the auspice of UNESCO and AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow), are placing at the disposal of UNESCO fifteen (15) fellowships of a six months duration starting on 1 October 2010 for the benefit of Member States listed in Annex I of the announcement letter. Beneficiaries of these fellowships will be given the opportunity to undertake an individual research programme in the field of Science and Technology.

UNU-ISP Scholarships

UNU-ISP takes an innovative, integrated approach to sustainability — one that encompasses global change, development, peace and security. The Institute bridges these cross-cutting issues through research, educational, and collaborative initiatives with the aim of solving current problems and anticipating future challenges.
The UNU Institute for Sustainability and Peace is in discussions with top universities across the globe regarding the initiation of joint graduate degree programmes. UNU-ISP will undertake graduate degree programmes leading to the granting of master’s and doctorate degrees on themes relevant to UNU-ISP’s focus on sustainability and peace.

Scholarships to developing countries from the Norwegian Centre for International Cooperation in Higher Education (SIU).

SIU is a knowledge- and service organisation with the mission of promoting and facilitating cooperation, standardisation, mobility, and the overcoming of cultural barriers to communication and exchange within the realm of higher education on an international level. The goal of the Quota Scheme is to give students from developing countries in the South, Central- and East-Europe and Central-Asia, relevant education that would also benefit their home countries when they return after graduation.The programme also contributes to strengthen Norwegian institutions of higher education##$$s participation in global knowledge cooperation. The Norwegian government provides scholarships for students from developing countries in the South and countries of Central- and East-Europe and Central-Asia under the Quota Scheme. The overall objective of the Quota Scheme is to promote the internationalisation of higher education.
